TATTOO PREP

•Show up 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out paperwork.

•Outside food and drinks are prohibited unless your tattoo appointment is 3+ hours.
•No alcohol,smoking, hate speech, foul talk or drug use on the premises.
•No more than one guest may accompany you to your appointment* (PLEASE CONSULT WITH YOUR ARTIST ABOUT GUEST POLICIES)

•No alcohol, smoking or drug use 24 hours prior to your tattoo.
•No children under the age of 18 are allowed on the premises.
•No photography, video or social media may be taken
without all on site artists and clients permission.
•No animals are welcome besides service animals.
•The Gold Room Tattoo is not handicap accessible.
If you need assistance please let us know prior to the appointment.

Hygiene:

Shower and wear deodorant, perfume, cologne etc. to your appointment.

Brush your teeth and arrive with fresh breath.

Wear clean clothing that you are not afraid to potentially ruin with pigment.

Be prepared to wash your hands after every off-site smoke break.
 

Wear accessible attire including but not limited to:

Arms: sleeveless top. 

Legs: above knee, shorts. below knee, loose fitting pants that can be pulled up to knee.

Back: Bikini top, tube top, front closing bra, pasties, bralette etc. halter top preferred. 

Torso/Chest: loose fitting top that can be removed or tucked into bra etc.
Feet:clean feet, socks, loose fitting shoes excluding high tops and boots.
Underbust: bikini top, tube top, front closing bra, pasties, bralette etc.
Upper Thigh/Buttocks: thong, side tied bikini bottom, loose shorts. 
 

AFTERCARE

DO NOT TOUCH TATTOO WITH DIRTY HANDS. Wash hands prior to applying any lotions or ointments.

Leave the bandage on for 2-4 hours or until you can remove it in a CLEAN environment. You do not need another bandage. After the bandage is removed, wash your tattoo with a fragrance-free antibacterial soap. Let the tattoo air dry and then apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor. Apply Aquaphor 2-3 times a day. (Day 2-4 as needed)

Apply unscented lotion 2-3 times a day. (Day 4-14 as needed)

Tattoos generally take 2-4 weeks to heal. Some tattoos scab, DO NOT touch or pick them. Let the scabs fall off on their own. DO NOT itch or scratch your tattoo, lotion can help with the itchy feeling.

While your tattoo is healing, avoid wearing tight clothing as this can rub roughly on the tattoo. Avoid direct sunlight during the healing stages due to the ink being very susceptible to UV light. Do not soak your tattoo in water.

If there are any signs of infection or swelling, please seek immediate medical attention.
